Weekly Health Message:
I have a very hard time going to sleep during Daylight Savings Time, especially if I have to go to bed early because I must wake early the next morning. Drivers have a hard time as well and face many other issues besides a later sunset with which to contend. Sleep is so important to our health and drivers must be rested to carry on the next day. Don’t eat right before bedtime; try to have your dinner anywhere from an hour to two before your plan on retiring for the night. If you watch TV or a movie, try for something less “active” and more laid back, like a comedy. Read a good novel instead of the news. Take a shower at the end of your day to wash off the road and you can be relaxed for bed. If needed, wear an eye mask to block out any light. There are many things you can do to get that much-needed night of restorative sleep in these summer months. Take care to get your rest and keep healthy!
