Driver Spotlight: Gilbert Rodriguez

Our spotlight is on Gilbert Rodriguez. Gilbert grew up in what he calls “real Texas Cowboy country”; Stephenville/Hico area of TX. He and his partner of 11 years, Melissa (a HS counselor prepping kids to get ready for college!) has 3 adult children and 4 precious grandbabies. They live in Haslet. Gilbert’s been trucking since 2004. His stepdad had been a trucker and always made a decent living so when Gilbert was laid off around Christmas of ‘03, he decided to change careers; from electrician to truck driver, the unsung hero! Gilbert says he loves working independently and having control over his own destiny. When Gilbert is not on the road, he enjoys the great outdoors, riding his Harley or spending the day on the lake in his boat. Gilbert has been our top TX driver in 2018 and 2019 and was runner-up in 2020! We are very blessed to have Gilbert as part of our Freedom family!
